What is the MAF inspection?
Vehicles to be exported to New Zealand must be inspected by their MAF (Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry) inspectors to make sure that the vehicles are free from soil, plants, animals, insects and their eggs.
The MAF inspection can be done in New Zealand, but, to expedite the import customs clearance there, it is recommended to complete it prior to lading in Japan. Sun Phoenix has been providing services that may help pass the MAF inspection, such as cleaning, preliminary check and the application for the inspection.

A special vehicles is placed on the inspection ramp with one end lifted, and the inspector on the creeper will check the bottom side. Then the other end is lifted for the similar inspection.
